Building Peppermint
Full-time, all-in. A private AI memory of your work that follows you from tool to tool — currently expanding from a personal assistant into something whole teams use. The thesis: memory is the substrate, delegation is the product. Most of my engineering team is now AI agents, which makes standups very quiet.

Just wrapped: Running Remote 2026
Ninth year, back in Austin, April 27–29. Fifty-plus speakers including leaders from Zapier, Cloudflare, HubSpot, Yelp, and Doist. I moderated, emceed, and pointed at the synchronization tax more times than was strictly necessary.

Talking about the RTO narrative (it's wrong)
In April I gave a DisruptHR Austin talk — 'Why Remote Work Feels Like It's Failing (Even When It Isn't)' — in the 5-minute, 20-slide, no-mercy format. The short version: office attendance is still at ~67% of pre-pandemic levels while RTO mandates hit all-time highs. The data and the press releases are telling different stories.
